Warner Home Video Announces ``Dawn Anna'' Starring Debra Winger and ``Confessions of an American Bride'' Featuring Shannon Elizabeth, Two More Popular Lifetime Original Movie Titles Coming to DVD July 12.

BURBANK, Calif. -- Warner Home Video has something for everyone on July 12 with the DVD releases of the deeply moving "Dawn Anna" and the lighthearted wedding day comedy "Confessions of an American Bride," two new Lifetime Original Movies. Both titles will available on DVD for the first time and will retail for $19.98.

"Dawn Anna," starring Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated actress Debra Winger ("Terms of Endearment," "An Officer and a Gentleman") tells the heartfelt, true story of single mom Dawn Anna, who faces great adversity just when she thought things were finally looking up in her life. She has four loving children, a new man in her life, and an ideal job teaching math and coaching volleyball. One day her life takes a sudden, dramatic turn -- Dawn is struck with an illness, which not only threatens her new, steady way of life but life itself. Following harrowing brain surgery, Dawn must learn to speak and walk all over again. Helping her heal is an around-the-clock job, but Dawn triumphs with the devoted support of an around-the-clock family. Then life deals her an even more staggering blow. Can Dawn summon the courage to overcome one more heartbreak? "Dawn Anna" also stars Alex Van ("Selma, Lord, Selma" and "Mama Flora's Family") and was directed by Arliss Howard ("Big Bad Love").

As a bonus feature, the DVD release of "Dawn Anna" will include interviews with the cast and crew. Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network will re-broadcast "Dawn Anna" close to the release date of the DVD.

A ratings success during its initial broadcast on Lifetime in January 2005, "Dawn Anna" earned a 3.9 household rating, one rating point above Lifetime's 2004 original movie average. The film also received rave critical reviews with local and national press. In Touch Weekly said, "Debra Winger gives her most moving performance since 'Terms of Endearment' in this heartbreaking but ultimately inspiring telefilm ... it's unforgettable," while The Washington Post hailed it as "Achingly poignant. Switching gears from compelling drama to romantic comedy, WHV will also release Lifetime's "Confessions of An American Bride," a lively romp about the Big Day and the Big Problems that go with it. Shannon Elizabeth ("Scary Movie," "American Pie") shines in the role of Samantha, a beautiful, funny and charming bride-to-be who is preparing for her wedding day. For a new bride, that stroll down the isle should be like a fairy tale come true, but battling the in-laws, trying to find the perfect bridal dress, choosing invitations, cakes and caterers, makes the whole affair pretty daunting for Samantha. Try selecting the right china while your future husband decides to play war with the bar-code gun. Samantha's emotions reach wedding-day warp speed and before she thinks things could not get any worse, she runs into her secret college crush ... and they share an illicit smooch. Can love -- and Samantha -- survive being engaged? "Confessions of an American Bride" also stars Eddie McClintock ("Full Frontal," "The Sweetest Thing") and Geoff Stults ("The Wedding Crashers," "7th Heaven").

"Confessions of an American Bride" will be made available on DVD two months after the film's May 9th broadcast premiere on Lifetime. The DVD will feature never-before-seen interviews as well as deleted scenes.
