, sweet or stylish? There's a knit, fleece, cotton, or acrylic warmer waiting for you. Love color? Here's the place to play. "My theatre legwarmers are always red," says Janelle Cooke of the Colorado Ballet. "It's my lucky color." Pick a warm-up that won't interfere with your dancing. If you're partnering, bulky, slippery material could cause a mishap. "I look for things that aren't baggy, fit nicely and don't get in the way," says Cooke. Maintaining warmth during breaks in class, rehearsal or performance will help prevent injury. Just be sure to take your knits off before you reappear onstage. "No one wants to be the snowflake with her legwarmers on." says Cooke. Look for layers you can get on and off in a hurry. If you're wearing a headpiece head·piece
