When the Air Force senior leadership identified fitness and weight management issues as a concern, the recreation professionals came up with WarFit. WarFit comprises three different areas: an individual fitness program, squadron support/oversight and a comprehensive fitness assessment. In March 2002, Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming was the first base to take the challenge. Now all bases in the Air Force Space Command are in the process of implementing WarFit.
