Wang signs OPEN/image partnership agreements in Japanese market.

: WANG) announced today that its Japanese subsidiary, Nihon Wang K.K., has signed partnership agreements with two systems integrators and four application software firms to market the company's OPEN/image software products in Japan.

Under the agreement, Nihon Wang's partners are authorized to represent Wang and resell its industry-leading imaging software in Japanese markets. The firms will partner with Nihon Wang's channel sales organization to provide systems integration, project management, and application development for imaging solutions. Current market size is estimated to be approximately 70 billion Yen, and is expected to grow at 25 to 30 percent annually especially in the "open architecture based document imaging" field.

Wang's newest partners in Japan include two systems integrators (SI)/value added resellers (VAR): CTC-LS, a subsidiary of C. Itoh, one of the world's largest trading companies, which serves markets including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and food industries throughout Japan; and Hitachi Information Systems, a subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd., which provides systems solutions to Hitachi Group Hitachi Group (Hitachi Gurupu) is a group of companies that uses the Hitachi name, which includes Hitachi Ltd.
