Wang and Digital align to bring enterprise imaging and workflow to Digital's Windows NT customers.

:DEC) today announced a worldwide alliance focused on bringing Wang's industry- leading enterprise workflow and imaging software to Digital's Windows NT (Windows New Technology) A 32-bit operating system from Microsoft for Intel x86 CPUs. Under the strategic partnership, the two companies will work together to port Wang's OPEN/workflow and OPEN/image software to Digital's Alpha platform running Windows NT. Wang and Digital customers will benefit from the combined offering of Wang's leading imaging and workflow solutions, Digital's reliable and high-performance Intel and Alpha platforms and global service and support capabilities, and both companies' alliances with Microsoft Corp. "To improve productivity across the enterprise with workflow and imaging solutions, large organizations require a reliable, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure integrated with powerful, cross-platform workflow solutions," said Deborah Willingham, vice president of the enterprise customer unit at Microsoft. "By extending Wang's workflow and imaging solutions to the Digital Alpha platform and Windows NT server network foundation, this alliance delivers on that need. Our Windows NT Server customers will benefit from the tight integration of Wang and Digital technologies for great enterprise workflow solutions, as well as from the close cooperation among all three of our companies to deliver the best enterprise services and support."

Wang will provide training and sales support to Digital's systems integration organization, enabling Digital to deliver the benefits of enterprise work management technologies to its customers.
