Napster Takes Dual Honors at First-Ever Wammy Awards Presentation Recognizing

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ --

On the virtual eve of the historic legal showdown between Napster and the recording industry, the embattled peer-to-peer music sharing service took home top Internet honors at the first annual Wammy Awards presentation Thursday evening (September 21) in San Francisco. Napster snared dual honors, winning the Wammy Award for both Best Music Application and Website of the Year. The Wammy Awards were presented at a gala celebration at San Francisco's famed Palace of Fine Arts
