WHO: Rainier Gonzalez, chairman and CEO of Pacer Health
Corporation (OTCBB: PHLH), a Miami-based owner-operator
of acute care hospitals, medical treatment centers and
psychiatric care facilities, was interviewed this week by
the Wall Street Reporter.
WHAT: Gonzalez reported on Pacer Health's planned acquisition of
Knox County Hospital, a state-of-the-art acute care facility
in Barbourville, Kentucky, as well as the company's ongoing
activity in several of its other portfolio properties.
Gonzalez discussed Pacer Health's growth and consolidation
strategy for this year and announced projected 2006 revenues
that would represent a substantial increase over 2005. He
also noted the company's focus on profitability by Q4 2006,
as well as its niche expertise in successfully operating
medical facilities with annual revenues of less than $25
million - an ownership segment most healthcare management
consultants have avoided.
Additionally, Gonzalez highlighted the company's
responsiveness as a key competitive advantage alongside its
emphasis on quality healthcare, the latter of which he
described as pivotal to protecting and promoting the Pacer
Health brand.
