Waiariki student gains top exam marks.


WAIARIKI INSTITUTE of Technology Established in 1978, Waiariki Institute of Technology is one of the largest tertiary institutes in New Zealand. Originally developed as a centre for adult and trades education, the institute began to offer bachelor degree programmes in the early 1990's.  graduate Bronwyn Ives Ives   , Charles Edward 1874-1954.

American composer whose works anticipated those of later 20th-century musicians in their abandonment of conventional tonality. His Third Symphony (1904-1911) won a Pulitzer Prize.

"We knew she'd achieve highly as she's been an excellent student both in the classroom and in practical placement."

Ives, aged 34, said coming to study as a mature student had its advantages. "I felt more focused and really wanted to make a go of it, because of the life experience I was bringing to my studies."
