Wacker-Chemie, Munich, is discontinuing production and sale of chlorinated hydrocarbons, effective December 31. Only trichloroethylene trichloroethylene /tri·chlo·ro·eth·y·lene/ (-eth´i-len) a clear, mobile liquid used as an industrial solvent; formerly used as an inhalant anesthetic.
