 WYLE LABORATORIES WINS $7 MILLION NAVY CONTRACT
 HAMPTON, Va., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The Scientific Services &


Systems Group of Wyle Laboratories (NYSE: WYL) has been awarded a three- year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with a ceiling up to approximately $7 million by the Carderock Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Bethesda, Md. This award is a follow-on contract for similar work awarded to Wyle in 1988.
 Wyle will provide instrumentation and controls engineering services in support of experimental programs at the Carderock Laboratory's facilities, aboard fleet units and at various field sites, including the Large Cavitation Channel in Memphis, Tenn. Services include the design, development and operation of electrical power distribution and conversion systems, data acquisition and control systems, computer-aided drafting and design systems and data analysis systems.
 The research center's instrumentation is used in research, development, test and evaluation programs for naval vehicles, including applications for new vehicle concepts, ship and aircraft compatibility, ship trials and the development of vehicle technology.
