WUSSLER TO RESIGN AS CVE PRESIDENT AND CEO
WASHINGTON, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert J. Wussler will resign

as president and CEO of COMSAT Video Enterprises effective Jan. 31, 1992, it was announced today by COMSAT President and COO Bruce Crockett.
"It is with deep regret that I have accepted Bob Wussler's resignation," Crockett said. "Under his leadership, CVE has been restructured and the hotel segment has become a profitable enterprise for COMSAT. The recent acquisition of an equity interest in On Command Video has placed CVE in a leadership position in the lodging entertainment industry. In addition, under Bob's direction, the Denver Nuggets are now experiencing a significant turnaround, and, by all accounts, are on the road to becoming a highly competitive team."
"We have been fortunate to have had Bob with us for the past two-and-a-half years," Crockett continued. "Though we will miss his daily counsel, we're pleased he will continue to be associated with COMSAT as a consultant as we seek new and innovative ways to expand our businesses."
In explaining his decision, Wussler stated: "CVE has been a terrific experience for me, but it's time to explore new business opportunities. COMSAT has concluded that its priorities do not include multichannel, pay per view program distribution to the home, and this is an area which I want to pursue vigorously."
Wussler joined CVE as president and CEO in August 1989. Prior to that, he was senior executive vice president of Turner Broadcasting System, where he served for nine-and-a-half years. Previously, he spent an illustrious 21-year career at CBS, where he rose from the mailroom to become president of CBS Sports and president of the CBS Television network.
Charlie Lyons, CVE vice president and general manager, will assume Wussler's leadership role and report directly to COMSAT President Crockett.
Bryan Burns, CVE vice president, sports and international, will assume responsibility for CVE's majority ownership position in the Denver Nuggets, and will report to Lyons.
