WRESTLING NOTEBOOK: STATE SLOTS ON THE LINE AT MASTERS.

Merrill didn't earn a bye as a CIF champion, but will wrestle a lower seed in the first round of the 112-pound bracket, which will also feature Royal's Sam Mestaz. Mestaz's teammate Crosley (41-6) and Harvard-Westlake of Studio City's Matt Katz will be competing in the 152-pound category.
