WPG hospital workers end strike. (Health).

Mediation has long been a part of international law, frequently involving the use of an international commission,  and arbitration, if necessary, to settle a labour dispute with the hospital.

The UCFW executive recommended that the striking workers seek mediation in order to settle outstanding contract issues, such as wage increases, statutory holidays and sick pay. A mediator mediator n. a person who conducts mediation. A mediator is usually a lawyer, or retired judge, but can be a non-attorney specialist in the subject matter (like child custody) who tries to bring people and their disputes to early resolution through a conference.  has been appointed and talks are expected to begin.

The hospital cancelled about 2,000 non-urgent surgeries, procedures and special appointments, and closed 80 of the hospital beds.
