WORTHINGTON FOODS INTRODUCES GRILLERS(R) IN BURGER KING TEST MARKET

 WORTHINGTON, Ohio, April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Worthington Foods, Inc. (NASDAQ: WFDS) today announced it has entered into an agreement with Burger King Corporation to test its meatless burger, Morningstar Farms Grillers(R), in a restaurant unit in Watkins Glen, N.Y. Grillers(R) will be flame-broiled and used to replace a product called Bean Burger, currently in test market at this same Burger King restaurant beginning in late-April, 1993.
 Worthington Foods has authorized Burger King to use the product name "Grillers", a registered trademark of Worthington, in the test market.
 There are over 12 million vegetarians in the United States plus many others looking for healthy, meat-free foods in restaurants. The most recent Gallop poll on the vegetarian market showed that approximately 20 percent of adult Americans look for restaurants offering meatless foods on their menus.
 Worthington Foods, Inc., located in Worthington, Ohio, is the world's largest company solely dedicated to producing and marketing meatless and other healthful food products. Over 18 million Grillers(R) are sold annually through supermarkets in the United States under the brand name Morningstar Farms.
