WOODLAND PARK ZOO SAYS ADMISSION FEES TO INCREASE

 SEATTLE, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The Seattle City Council recently voted to increase admission fees at Woodland Park Zoo, as well as to give King County residents a discount, the zoo said today. Admissions staff at the zoo will be using zip codes to determine eligibility for the discounted admission price. The following fee increases will be effective as of Jan. 1, 1993:

 Adult (18-64) $6 $5
 Senior (65 & up) $4.50 $3.75
 Youth (6-17) $3.50 $2.75
 Child (3-5) $1.50 $1
 Preschool (0-2) Free Free
 PARKING FEES
 Hours Jan. - Mar. 15/ Mar. 16 - Sept. 15
 Sept. 16 - Dec. 31
 0 - 4 hours $1 $2
 4 - 8 hours $2 $4
 HOURS OF OPERATION
 The Zoo is open daily, including all holidays.
 From Oct. 15 through Mar. 14, zoo hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
 From Mar. 15 through Oct. 14, zoo hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
 NOTE: The North Entry, located on 59th Street, is closed during the winter months.
