We were giving them hope.'' UCLA scored early and often in the second half. It took just 4 1/2 minutes for Adams to score on a penalty kick, easily fooling freshman goalkeeper Alicia Lugo. The Bruins scored again about seven minutes later on senior Bristyn Davis' unassisted goal. Even defender Lauren Switzer got in on the act, scoring her first goal of the season to give UCLA a 4-0 lead.
