WOMEN: 49ERS REMAIN ATOP BIG WEST LONG BEACH STATE 102, CSUN 62.

Crystal McCutcheon scored a game-high 22 points, leading five Long Beach State players in double figures, as the 49ers remained undefeated in Big West Conference women's basketball with a 102-62 victory Sunday against Cal State Northridge.

Jeannie Saunders added 18 points for the 49ers (11-5, 4-0), Fernanda Santos scored 15, Mary Has had 14 and Karina Figueroa tallied 13.

Long Beach State never trailed, jumping out to a 12-2 lead in the opening five minutes.

Heather Cushing scored 12 points for CSUN (5-11, 2-3), which had its two-game winning streak snapped. Teammate Katie Holloway added 10 points.
