It landed on Rothko Lane, a small roadway next to the White Oak town house complex. No home was damaged. Williams said investigators were trying to find witnesses to explain what caused the crash - whether only the Explorer or also another vehicle was involved. The woman's identity was not released, pending notification of relatives. Residents of the 56-home complex gathered at the site and said there had been about four fatalities and as many as 15 crashes along the stretch of freeway between Yosemite Avenue and the Cochran Street bridge. But most were baffled as to why the crashes occur along the relatively straight stretch of highway. James Murphy James Murphy may refer to:

Not far from where the woman died Wednesday, there were some plastic birds of paradise left beside a tree where a young woman died in another crash earlier this year, said Carol Macksoud, whose home is near the site of both crashes. ``I've been here since 1997 and I've probably seen 15 cars come down. I went up on the freeway once to try to figure out why,'' she said.
