WOLOHAN LUMBER CO. REPORTS NOVEMBER SALES INCREASED 40.3 PERCENT

 SAGINAW, Mich., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Wolohan Lumber Co. (NASDAQ-NMS: WLHN) said its sales for November increased to $34,250,000 from $24,408,000 for November 1992, a 40.3 percent increase. Comparable-store sales increased 37.2 percent. For the month of November, consumer (DIY) sales were up 28.9 percent and professional contractor sales were up 51.6 percent from last November.
 Eleven-month sales were up 9.4 percent to $351,486,000 from $321,168,000 for the same period of 1992 and comparable-store sales were up 7.1 percent.
 Fourth quarter to date gross margin percentages have shown no improvement over the third quarter results due to continuation of the company's aggressive pricing and higher sales mix and increased costs of forest products.
