 WOLF, BLOCK'S RONALD M. WEINER APPOINTED TO IRS COMMISSIONER'S
 ADVISORY GROUP, AVAILABLE FOR INTERVIEWS ON TAX AND IRS ISSUES
 PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Ronald M. Weiner, a partner in the tax department of Wolf, Block, Schorr and Solis-Cohen, has been appointed to serve a two-year term as a members of the IRS Commissioner's Advisory Group.
 The Commissioner's Advisory Group (CAG) provides advice and counsel to the Commissioner of Internal Revenue. The 25 members of the current CAG include business executives, accountants, attorneys, educators, small business representatives, and state government officials. Wiener is the only member of this year's CAG from the tri-state Delaware Valley area.
 Topics addressed by last year's CAG included the modernization of the IRS's computer equipment, the ethics and integrity of IRS employees, and the development of new strategies to make it easier for taxpayers to comply with the tax laws. Wiener said he expects the current CAG to advise newly appointed IRS Commissioner Shirley Peterson about these and other issues of importance to the fair and efficient administration of the tax laws.
 Wiener joined Wolf, Block in 1966 and was admitted as a partner in 1972. He is a former chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Tax Section and currently serves as chair of its IRS Liaison Committee.
