WNS expands capacity. (Strategic Alliances).

WNS, a global business process oursourcing (BPO) company, has announced that it has undertaken initiatives to enhance its capabilities in the voice-based contact center arena. The company is increasing its current contact center capacity to approximately 1,000 seats to be divided between its facilities in Mumbai and Pune, India, Allen Beck has been appointed to spearhead this initiative. WNS will be the first company in India to implement Tata Telecom, Avaya's call processing software known as MultiVantage on S8700 server platform from its Enterprise Class IP Solutions (ECLIPS) suite of solutions. The company's enhanced voice capability coupled with its expertise in the data segment will help enable WNS to offer a comprehensive suite of solutions and help make it a trusted offshore partner of its customers by helping provide value in all areas of engagement. WNS has initiated its business drive in this direction and is currently kicking off pilot projects that involve the new expanded set up leveraging the la test technology platform. WNS' enhanced voice capacity is expected to result in the simultaneous expansion of the company's overall voice and data capacity from approximately 1,100 to 1,850 seats. WNS' expansion drive, estimated at a total cost of US $7 million, will help allow the company to grow its human resource strength from approximately 2,000 to 4,000 employees.
