On April 18th, there will be an Earth Day celebration in Asheville
at MLK Park from 11am-10 pm with live music, an eco-village highlighting
Asheville's ecofriendly businesses and nonprofits, and a kid's
village. Admission is free. For more information, visit http://
ashevilleearthday.org/2008. On April 22, GreenWorks (formally Quality
Forward) will host their annual fundraising event from 7-11 pm at the
Orange Peel in Asheville. The event includes a battle of the Bands and
for the first time this year a homemade recyclable swimsuit competition.

host a celebration: ECO's Second Annual Earth Day Energy Expo at
