process technology, the WJA amplifiers exceed the increasingly complicated requirements of the next generation communication systems. Additionally the WJA amplifiers are ideal solutions for existing and next-generation cellular (CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) A method for transmitting simultaneous signals over a shared portion of the spectrum. It used a single antenna at the highest location in the community in order to deliver a quality signal to homes in areas with hilly terrain or other interference.  and other wireless applications.

The first WJA amplifiers to be introduced are the RF (WJA10xx) and the IF (WJA15xx) amplifier series. These new products offer an excellent mix of power gain, linearity, and supply current performance, enabling designers to integrate with their designs. The 50O internally matched amplifiers minimize the use of external components, thus simplifying system integration. Active bias circuitry is incorporated to minimize performance variations due to temperature.

"In response to the industry needs for cost-effective and high-performance RF solutions, we are proud to announce this new series of high-performance general-purpose amplifiers designed for a wide range of wireless applications," said Morteza Saidi, Vice President of Engineering at WJ Communications. "By leveraging WJ's RF design expertise and the advanced InGaP HBT (GaAs) process technology, WJ is now offering our customers a wide variety of high-performance and low-cost RF and IF amplifiers empowering engineers to meet and exceed product specifications as never before."

Product Overview

The WJA10xx & WJA15xx amplifiers are broadband products, housed in a small, RoHS-compliant, and SOT-89 surface-mount package. The new amplifier family includes both RF and IF devices, offering high linearity and low current. The WJA series can be operated from +5V supply, and have P1dB of 20 dBm, 15 and 20 dB of power gain and OIP OIP Office of International Programs

Value proposition

Responding to market needs for small-signal amplifiers with high linearity and low current, WJ has developed a series of active bias amplifiers, WJA series. The following are key features of the WJA amplifier family:
-- Broadband and High Dynamic Range
-- Diverse applications from 50 to 4000 MHz frequency
-- High Linearity
-- Provides excellent linearity, 43 dBm OIP3 performance
-- Low Current
-- Excellent current consumption performance: 60-90 mA
-- Integrated Active Bias Circuitry
-- Compensates for variations in linearity and current draw over
       temperature
-- SMT Package
    -- Small-size, ROHS compliant, SOT-89 package

WJ Product Evolution

WJ Communications is committed to extending its leadership for small-signal amplifiers, and providing high-performance and high-linearity devices to its customers. By utilizing its HBT process technology expertise to develop WJA10xx & WJA15xx amplifiers, WJ can quickly respond to the continuing demand for high-performance, low-current and high-reliability devices and actively meet the linearity requirements as dictated by W-CDMA and WiMAX standards.
