WJ Communications Expands InGaP HBT Amplifier Line with High Performance; OEMs Gain Greater Cost-Savings and High Linearity.

Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 2004

WJ Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:WJCI WJCI WJ Communications, Inc ), a leading designer and supplier of RF semiconductors and multi-chip modules, today announced the expansion of its InGaP HBT HBT Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor
HBT HyCult Biotechnology (Uden, The Netherlands)
HBT Hanbury-Brown-Twiss (interferometer)
HBT Herring Bone Twill
HBT Heflex Bioengineering Test
amplifier portfolio with the introduction of the low-cost AH118. The AH118 is targeted for use as a driver amplifier in wireless infrastructure applications where high linearity and medium power is required. It is ideally suited as a final stage amplifier for repeaters, mobile infrastructure transceivers, CATV/DBS, and defense applications.

"The AH118 is a great addition to our HBT amplifier family. Leveraging our InGaP HBT design expertise, WJ has developed a product line of highly linear devices that provide best-in-class reliability, performance and integration for a multitude of applications," said Ron Buswell, senior vice president of product line management for WJ Communications. "This step of broadening our product line fulfills our promise to the OEMs to provide a complete solution for all their system needs."

Product Overview

The AH118 operates across a broad frequency range from 60-2500 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  and provides +41 dBm OIP OIP Office of International Programs
