reader has received federal certification to sell a communications hub for the system.

Valencia-based ConectiSys Corp. said Wednesday the Federal Communications Commission Federal Communications Commission (FCC), independent executive agency of the U.S. government established in 1934 to regulate interstate and foreign communications in the public interest.  certified the H-Net C1Base - part of its H-Net BaseStation system.

The HNet product is implanted in meters, and transmits customer data wirelessly to a central station, where it is distributed to power companies via the Internet. It would allow instant readings from a network center, and end monthly door-to-door checks, the company said.

The base is designed to communicate with a network of up to 1,000 meters. Federal regulators granted approval for the company's H-Net 5.0 wireless

meter-reading system last December, and officials believe the product is ready to enter the market.

``We believe that the combined FCC (1) (Federal Communications Commission, Washington, DC, www.fcc.gov) The U.S. government agency that regulates interstate and international communications including wire, cable, radio, TV and satellite. ``We believe that this is a remarkable development for ConectiSys and for the wireless meter reading industry.''
