 WINTRONICS SIGNS ON AS CRAY DISTRIBUTOR
 ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, Md., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Cray


Communications, formerly Dowty Communications, and Wintronics, Inc., a Hauppage, N.Y.-based network VAR, have signed a distribution agreement under which Wintronics will market and support Cray's line of modems, multiplexers, and T-1 and X.25 products.
 According to Nicholas L. Pitch, president of Wintronics, the Cray product line complements and enhances the company's existing network product offerings which include Wintronic's own UL listed copper and fiber cable assemblies for local area networks.
 Under the distribution agreement, Wintronics will market Cray products to corporate users throughout the Northeastern United States, particularly in the New York City metropolitan area.
 Wintronics, established 27 years ago, is a leading network VAR specializing in system design and implementation, as well as network testing and documentation. Wintronics maintains a multimillion-dollar inventory of networking products for both copper and fiber optic based systems. These include wiring hubs, routers, bridges, repeaters and test equipment.
 Cray Communications, headquartered in Annapolis Junction, designs, manufactures and markets a full range of local and wide area networking products for direct, OEM and distributor sales. Its products include T-1/E-1 nodal processors and multiplexers, X.25 switches and PADs, modems, CSU/DSUs, intelligent wiring hubs, LAN internetworking devices, multi-protocol terminal servers and gateways, frame relay access devices, inverse multiplexers and network management systems.
