Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. needs more dough for its new shops in the Midwest and Canada and will get it from an 18,405-square-foot mix-making plant and distribution center in Effingham, Ill. It's scheduled to be completed during the first half of 2002. Officials wouldn't say how much the plant will cost.
