``The Daily Show with Jon Stewart: Indecision 2004'' jumped nearly 200 spots to No. 253 on the Amazon.com Top Sellers list, the online retailer reported Monday.

At the same time, ``The Ultimate Johnny Carson Collection'' got an unexpected boost - climbing 770 percent to number 175 on the Amazon list - after David Letterman's tribute to his mentor, which included some vintage Carson clips that appear on the DVD.

``There's nothing like the power of the image, and this was a show filled with strong images,'' said Dan Vancini, DVD editor for Amazon.com. ``Johnny Carson is timeless, (like) the clips shown, and David Letterman's presentation was really well-done. What also helped were some of the reaction shots in the audience.''

Felicity Huffman's surprise win over co-stars Marcia Cross Marcia Anne Cross (born March 25, 1962 in Marlborough, Massachusetts) is an Emmy and Golden Globe Award-nominated American actress, best known for her lead role as Bree Van De Kamp Hodge on the hit TV show Desperate Housewives.  and Teri Hatcher Teri Lynn Hatcher (born December 8, 1964) is an Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning American actress and author. She gained attention for her role as Lois Lane in the television series co-starring with Dean Cain.  in the Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category was the highest-profile win for ``Desperate Housewives'' and could give the show an extra boost in its DVD debut today. Based on pre-orders alone, the DVD boxed set of the show's first season, which won six Emmys in all, was already at No. 5 on the Amazon chart.

Best Drama Series winner ``Lost'' hit stores with DVDs on Sept. 6 and has been a top-seller from the start, so six Emmy wins only add to its luster. It ranked No. 2 on the Amazon sales chart.

``For these shows, the Emmy is just a bonus,'' said Ralph Tribbey, editor of The DVD Release Report, an industry newsletter. ``Anybody who was on the edge - it's another reason to go buy it.''

Even though the Fox show ``Arrested Development'' couldn't manage a repeat win Sunday as Best Comedy Series, the ratings-challenged critical favorite did win for comedy writing and saw its sales rank improve on Monday from No. 36 to No. 19.

``It's too early in the cycle to know for sure, but there is real strong anecdotal evidence anecdotal evidence,

out there that people are thinking DVD is a better way to watch some shows,'' Tribbey said. ``They may not do as well in terms of their overall audience, but still do extremely well on DVD.''

As far as long-form programs go, best miniseries winner ``The Lost Prince'' got a the biggest Emmy boost of all - with a massive sales spike from No. 7,530 to No. 286, a quick run up 7,244 spots.

HBO's ``Warm Springs'' won the trophy for Best Made for Television Movie, as well as four other awards, including a Best Supporting Actress supporting actress nattrice f non protagonista  trophy for Jane Alexander. Before those wins, the DVD was languishing lan·guish

Although HBO's ``The Life and Death of Peter Sellers'' was upset by ``Warm Springs'' for the top prize, the program did win nine Emmys in all including a Best Actor win for star Geoffrey Rush Geoffrey Roy Rush (born 6 July 1951) is an Academy Award- and Emmy Award-winning Australian actor.  movie ``Lackawanna Blues'' got tremendous exposure on the telecast, not only for star S. Epatha Merkerson's upset Best Actress win over Halle Berry Halle Maria Berry (IPA: /ˈhæliː ˈbɛriː/) (born August 14, 1966[1]) is an American actress. , Debra Winger and others, but also from one of the show's true comedic highlights: Merkerson confessed that she had dropped her acceptance speech down the front of her gown.

``Lackawanna'' jumped more than 1,000 places to No. 328 on the Amazon chart.

Although Best Supporting Actor winner Paul Newman did not attend the Emmys, his HBO movie ``Empire Falls'' still benefited from the exposure and jumped from No. 81 to No. 44 on Amazon.

``The Emmys give a lot of exposure to slightly lesser-known titles, and we can see that immediate reaction,'' Vancini said. ```Warm Springs,' 'Lakawanna Blues'' and 'The Lost Prince' are our top-three Movers & Shakers.''

Amazon's Movers & Shakers are titles that have seen the biggest sales jump in the last 24-hour period.

``A lot of people don't have HBO, and the (Emmy) clips are probably the best single piece of advertising,'' Vancini said. ``Now people have a chance to see the program themselves.''
