Teams consisting of one to five Lockheed employees constructed airplanes adhering to strict guidelines guidelines,

Each team designated one member to hand-launch the airplane from a raised indoor platform. Winners in each category were determined by the total of the distance and duration of flight combined with the overall design score.
``This event was a great way to get a bunch of skilled people together to have some fun while really sending home the message of the importance of quality,'' coordinator Gary Martinson said.
First-place winners are Class A - Don Masters, Class B - Kirk Cassidy, Class C - Don Masters.
Winners received ribbons and trophies.
October is National Quality Month, intended to reinforce Lockheed's message, ``Our Brand Means Quality,'' company officials said.
