MOORPARK -- As Santa Ana winds Santa Ana Winds may refer to:

Some people were donating money in care of the LaPerch Family at Bonn-Fyre Farms, 7200 Walnut Canyon Road, in Moorpark.

Hugh Riley, Moorpark assistant city manager, praised LaPerch for her quick response to save the animals on her farm.

``Those animals were saved because she was prepared,'' he said. ``You've got to be ready. We have probably the greatest firefighters in the world in Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region, , but they can't save everything. It's a tragedy. Everybody knows these folks.''

The Red Cross shelters that were open Sunday and Monday in Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. Avocados, citrus, vegetables, strawberries, and nursery products are grown.  and Simi Valley for fire victims were closed Tuesday, but Moorpark city officials offered office space in City Hall for the Red Cross to use to help local fire victims recover.

Victims of the fire can call the Red Cross at (805) 339-2234 for assistance.

The cause of the Shekell Fire remains under investigation. It began about 2:30 a.m. Sunday near the huge old Egg City production facility where a warehouse burned.
