Before 2002, it was classified as a "High-A" league, indicating its status as a Class A league with the highest level of competition within that classification, and the fifth  record, striking out in six times in consecutive at-bats.

After what he called ``the worst game I ever had in my life,'' Williams tried to take everything in stride Adv. 1. in stride - without losing equilibrium; "she took all his criticism in stride"

``It's something I can laugh about now,'' Williams said. ``Six strikeouts is just something you don't feel comfortable with or happy about, but it's something that you have to live with and put behind you. I wish it didn't happen to me, but it did, so I've just got to go on and continue to improve.''

Williams, who said he struck out swinging on high fastballs in five consecutive at-bats, called Wednesday night's game a learning experience.

``It's just something that you really can't explain,'' he said. ``I was just going up to the plate thinking `I've already struck out this many times, and I might do it again.' It's all in your head, you've just got to let it go.''

He had a strong game Thursday, going 3 for 4 - with no strikeouts - against High Desert.
