The Dallas Cowboys are a team in the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League. They are based in the Dallas suburb of Irving, Texas.
star Erik Williams Erik George Williams (born September 7, 1968 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a former American football offensive tackle in the NFL who played most of his career with the Dallas Cowboys (1991-2000).  denied Thursday he raped a woman at his home, and his attorney said teammate Michael Irvin couldn't have been involved because he hasn't been at the house in more than a year.

A 23-year-old woman told police Irvin held a gun to her head while she was raped Sunday night Sunday Night, later named Michelob Presents Night Music, was an NBC late-night television show which aired for two seasons between 1988 and 1990 as a showcase for jazz and eclectic musical artists.  by Williams and another man. Police have not identified the third man.

Williams, a star offensive lineman who had previously refused comment on the allegation, spoke briefly while leaving the Cowboys' training facility.

``I've been falsely accused of something that I didn't do and I'm looking forward to the truth to come out as soon as possible,'' Williams said.

``I'm not a bad person. I realize the responsibilities and privileges that it takes to be a Dallas Cowboy. I'm looking forward to the truth to come out as soon as possible.''

Irvin also has denied the accusation, and his lawyers say they have a witness to back up his claim that he was in a sports bar at the time the woman alleged she was raped.

Peter Ginsberg, Williams' attorney, said Irvin was not at Williams' house on Sunday - or any time recently.

``The one fact that I think is important - because this does reflect on how ridiculous the charges are - Michael Irvin has not been at Erik Williams' house for over a year and a half,'' Ginsberg said.

Earlier Thursday, Irvin attorney Royce West Royce West (born 26 September 1952)[1] is a Democratic African American member of the Texas Senate representing the Dallas-based 23rd District. Election history

said the security guard at Williams' gated subdivision can offer an alibi for his client.

``That security guard will state Mr. Michael Irvin never went to Erik Williams' house Sunday night,'' West told ABC's ``Good Morning America'' Thursday.

A manager for Triad Protective Services, which handles the subdivision's security, said guards are not required to list visitors.

Another Irvin lawyer, Anthony Lyons, told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is a major U.S. daily newspaper serving Fort Worth and the western half of the North Texas area known as the Metroplex. Its area of domination is checked by its main rival, The Dallas Morning News  his client spent most of Sunday evening at the Cowboys Sports Cafe, blocks from the team's Valley Ranch headquarters.

``There was very little time when Michael was not with someone,'' Lyons said. A manager at the bar-restaurant said the establishment had ``absolutely no comment about anything.''

Neither West nor Lyons returned phone messages seeking comment.

Police said they have no immediate plans to talk to either Williams, 28, or Irvin, 30, who is in the sixth month of a four-year probation for felony cocaine possession.

``We're in the very early stages of the investigation,'' said police spokesman Ed Spencer. ``It's going to be days, at least, if not weeks, before any determination is made if there's a criminal case to be filed.''

22-year-old husband said he doubts her story. The man, who was not identified, said she has twice falsely accused men of sexual assault without telling police.

``It seems very reasonable that she is making this up,'' he said. ``She's very melodramatic. She accused me of doing this, and she accused her fiance before me of doing this, so I don't know Don't know (DK, DKed)

The man, who separated from his wife in 1994 after being married two years, said she told him she met the players while working as a waitress and dancer at a Dallas topless club.

The husband said she briefly lived with two players and ``would brag to me about living with the Cowboys.''
