WILLIAM QUIGLEY JOINS FRANCO PR AS SENIOR EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

 DETROIT, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- William G. (Bill) Quigley, who recently ended a distinguished 34-year career in public relations with General Motors, has joined Anthony M. Franco, Inc. public relations counselors, as senior executive vice president.
 In making the announcement, Chairman and CEO Anthony Franco said, "Few people in this business can match Bill's experience, talent and reputation. We expect him to play a big role in many areas of our company including client relations, professional development, new business and company promotion."
 Quigley retired from General Motors in September of 1992. He has held a variety of field, division and corporate staff positions over the years. Since August of 1990, he had served as executive-in-charge of communications on GM's communications and marketing staff. Prior to that, he was the executive director of corporate communications. Among the other titles he held at GM were: executive director of public relations and general director of media and community relations.
 A Detroit native, Quigley graduated from Wayne State University and completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America, and served as a past president of the Detroit Chapter. He is also a member of the Detroit Press Club, the Public Relations Seminar, and the Arthur W. Page Society, an organization of senior public relations and corporate executives.
 He and his wife live in Grosse Pointe, Mich.
