WHY NOT PAY BILLS ELECTRONICALLY?


A recent study by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago concludes that consumers are waiting for improvements that address more of their needs before raking the plunge. The study reports that consumers who are reluctant to use electronic bill payment are particularly concerned about protecting themselves from potential billing errors and about the prospect that unusually high bills might put a strain on their available funds. The study suggests that the next step is up to businesses to develop product features that consumers will find attractive.
