WHO Radio Great Iowa Tractor Ride rolls again.The 9th Annual WHO Radio Great Iowa Tractor tractor, in agriculture, vehicle used to pull such equipment as plows, cultivators, and mowers; to power stationary devices such as saws and winches; and to push snowplows and earth-moving implements. Ride rolled through Waterloo Waterloo, town, Belgium Waterloo (vä`tərlō), commune (1991 pop. 27,860), Walloon Brabant prov., central Belgium, near Brussels. The battle of Waterloo (see Waterloo campaign) was fought just south of there on June 18, 1815. , Marshalltown, Hampton and points in between June 26-29. The event drew 450 tractors, 600 drivers and 400 support team members to cover the 185-mile route. The WHO Radio staff and Tractor Ride participants dedicated the 2005 Great Iowa Tractor Ride to the memory of 10-year WHO Radio farm broadcaster and event co-founder Gary Wergin, who passed away in the fall of 2004. One WHO Radio Tractor Ride participant stated, "It's like summer camp for tractor collectors. We come together for four days, celebrate our antique antique. The term has been used collectively to designate classical Greek and Roman works of art, particularly sculptures; as an adjective to indicate an object, a period, or a style of ancient or early times; and as a noun, for objects of art, furniture, rugs, tractor collecting hobby A hobby is a spare-time recreational pursuit. Origin of term A hobby-horse was a wooden or wickerwork toy made to be ridden just like the real hobby. From this came the expression "to ride one's hobby-horse", meaning "to follow a favourite pastime", and in turn, , then go back to our regular lives. The wonderful people who participate in this event are generally genuine, honest and just fantastic to spend time with."
