The joke throughout my life has been that I don't do "I Don't Do" was the debut single by glamour model Michelle Marsh, released on 6 November 2006. The single reached 27 in the UK in its first week, selling only 9,000 copies and over 16,000 copies as of January 2007. The single spend a total of four weeks in the Top 75. sports, I do art. Dress me up in sweats and I'm a fish out of water. I went to a bike race this weekend not because I love cycling but because my husband, the artist, painted the trophy. It was fun, but I couldn't could·n't Contraction of could not. couldn't could not wait to get to the theater that night. Don't get me wrong, I completely admire People Who Do That. My artist was once a world-class pole vaulter and has run two half-marathons with our daughter. At the end of the last race, he begged me to remind him how much it hurt when he toys with the idea of running again come November. I think he's seeing the wisdom of my side. Some of the People Who Do That who are featured in these pages and one even happens to share the newsroom with me. The Cub Scouts of Pack 88 and the Las Colinas Las Colinas is a developed area in the Dallas suburb of Irving, Texas. Due to its central location between Dallas and Fort Worth and its proximity to DFW Airport, Las Colinas has been a viable place in the Metroplex for corporate and business relocation. District, a group of variously-abled boys with the single purpose of supporting their community center, will be running a 5K portion of this weekend's L.A. Marathon. Read about it on page 4. I'm incredibly proud of them for taking that first step. Likewise, one of my co-workers, Simone Schramm, has been training for quite some time to run the entire marathon. She will be up at the crack of dawn and pounding the pavement pavement, the wearing surface of a road, street, or sidewalk. Parts of Babylon and Troy are believed to have been paved; Roman roads were noted for their durable stone paving. Cobblestones were common from late medieval times into the 19th cent. with her beloved husband and fellow athlete in pursuit of finishing the 26-mile course together. Let's give them all a big hand. Maybe they'll inspire us to take that first step tomorrow. |
