MOORPARK -- Two Westlake stars were better than Moorpark's one Friday.

``We're used to the underdog role, and we like it,'' said Campbell, who finished 13 of 25 for 234 yards and a touchdown for the Warriors (10-0 overall, 7-0 Marmonte). ``They thought they could come out and push us around tonight, but we came into the game thinking we were going to win.''

Moorpark (8-2, 6-1) was expected to dominate Westlake on the ground with a powerful offensive line and Scott, who entered the game with more than 2,000 yards on the ground.

Scott was productive, rushing for 202 yards and two touchdowns, but he finished with just 20 carries as Moorpark, ranked No. 4 in the area by the Daily News, was forced to pass the ball while trailing throughout the fourth quarter.

Jordan Mannisto connected on threefield goals for the Warriors, including a 50-yarder with 7:16 remaining in the third quarter to put Westlake up 23-12.

Westlake clinched its first league title since 2004, the year it went undefeated to win a Southern Section championship.

``We're restoring the tradition here at Westlake,'' Campbell said. ``You don't go 10-0 with a bunch of rookies. We got in their heads early and kept up the momentum.''

The Warriors took a 17-0 lead early in the second quarter when Byron Sells scored on a 25-yard run, but they did most of their damage through the air.

Not noted as a deep-ball threat coming in to the game, Campbell passed for 185 yards in the first half, with six passes going to Streck-Woodard for 175 yards.

Streck-Woodard had no receptions in the second half, as Westlake resorted to running the ball to keep the Moorpark offense -- and Scott in particular -- off the field.
