WESTERN FAME EARNS 'BIG LOVE' ACTOR A STAR NEWHALL WALK ALSO TO HONOR RAWLINS.

SANTA CLARITA -- Veteran actor Harry Dean Stanton Harry Dean Stanton (born July 14, 1926) is an American character actor.

Stanton was born in West Irvine, Kentucky to Ersel and Sheridan Harry Stanton, who divorced when Stanton was in high school; they later re-married. He had two younger brothers, Archie and Ralph.
, now starring in TV's "Big Love," leads the list of entertainers to be inducted this year into Newhall's Walk of Western Stars.

The 3 p.m. induction into the San Fernando Road San Fernando Road is a major street in the city and county of Los Angeles. It starts off in Castaic as The Old Road, passing through Santa Clarita and the Newhall Pass, where upon its intersection with Sierra Highway near the junction of the Golden State (I-5) and the  walk of fame is a highlight of the cowboy festival, which will culminate with a 7 p.m. Western gala at the Valencia Hyatt. Hosting this year's gala is former Walk of Stars award winner and cowboy singer Don Edwards. David Wilkie and Cowboy Celtic will entertain.

Rawlins is a longtime stuntman who doubled for Clint Eastwood in "Rawhide" and rode shotgun on the stagecoach in "Gunsmoke." He also worked as an assistant director on "Fury," "Hawaiian Eye," "Cheyenne," "Bronco bronco: see mustang. " and "77 Sunset Strip." Rawlins lives on his ranch in Placerita Canyon.

Sons of the San Joaquin -- Joe, Jack and Lon Hannah -- has performed traditional cowboy music across the globe. The band's "Gospel Trails" recording features "In the Sweet By and By," with the late Dale Evans Rogers as lead vocalist.
