WEEKEND FESTIVALS.


Take in four full weekends of fun at the 2006 L.A. County Fair. This year's fair will include carnival rides, games, fair food, farm animals and live entertainment, including 15 nights of grandstand shows. The fair will take place 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to midnight Fridays, 10 a.m. to midnight Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays, through Oct. 1. Admission ranges from $10 to $37 (free for children 5 and under) at Pomona Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona. (909) 623-3111. www.lacountyfair.com.

Family Fiesta & Silent Auction: an early-California-style family fiesta featuring mariachis, adobe-oven cooking and more. 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Leonis Adobe Museum, 23537 Calabasas Road, Calabasas. (818) 222-6511. www.leonisadobe.org.

Saugus Speedway annual Oldies and Goodies Classic Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show: featuring classic vehicles, an ``oldies but goodies'' show, rides, games and more. 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Saugus Speedway, 22500 Soledad Canyon Road, Santa Clarita. Admission is $10 for adults and $3 for children 11 and under. (661) 259-3886.

Ventura Vintage Rods Harbor Run 16: featuring classic vehicles dating back to the 1970s, vendor booths, entertainment and more. 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Channel Islands Harbor, Oxnard. Admission is free for spectators, $20 per vehicle entry. (805) 485-3717. www.venturavintagerods.org.

Baja Splash Cultural Festival: featuring a display of marine life from the Pacific waters, Hispanic cultural dances, music and more. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free with aquarium entry ($19.95 for adults, $16.95 for seniors, $11.95 for children 3 to 11 and free for children under 3) at Aquarium of the Pacific, 100 Aquarium Way, Long Beach.
