WEEKEND FESTIVALS.More weekend time at the fair The annual L.A. County Fair is back for another round, and it's trying something a little different this year. The fair returns Friday to the Fairplex for an 18-day run and has adjusted its days to give guests more weekend time to visit. This year's offerings include SportsFest!, a tribute to American sports; the Flower and Garden Pavilion; America's Kids/Education Expo with a Time Machine theme; the Millard Sheets Millard Owen Sheets (1907-1989) was an American painter and an important representative of the California School of Painting.
