Spirits will be soaring at Van Nuys Airport Van Nuys Airport (IATA: VNY, ICAO: KVNY, FAA LID: VNY) is a public airport located in Van Nuys, California in the San Fernando Valley, within the Los Angeles city limits.  Rockin' AirFest 2006, which is set to boast Los Angeles' first-ever flyover by the F-22 Raptor, the world's only fifth-generation fighter jet. Also appearing will be the Misty Blues All Woman Skydiving skydiving

Sport of jumping from an airplane at a moderate altitude (e.g., 6,000 ft [1,800 m]) and executing various body maneuvers before pulling the rip cord of a parachute. Competitive events include jumping for style, landing with accuracy, and performing in teams (e.g.
 Team with a skydiving demonstration, live bands, displays of nearly 50 restored aircrafts and more. Admission is free. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
