Celebrate the holidays with the Hollywood Christmas Parade The Hollywood Christmas Parade took place every year for 75 years on the weekend after Thanksgiving in the Hollywood community in Los Angeles, California, United States. The parade's 3.  featuring Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa Antonio Ramon Villaraigosa (born Antonio (Tony) Ramon Villar, Jr. on January 23, 1953) is the mayor of Los Angeles, California. He is the first Latino mayor of Los Angeles since Cristobal Aguilar in 1872.  as grand marshal Grand Marshal is a ceremonial, military, or political office of very high rank. The term has its origins with the word "Marshal" with the first usage of the term "Grand Marshal" as a ceremonial title for certain religious orders. . The parade will feature marching bands, colorful floats, equestrian groups, celebrities riding in convertibles and Santa making his grand appearance.

The parade takes place along a 3.2-mile route that includes Hollywood Boulevard, Vine Street and Sunset Boulevard. The parade starts at 5 p.m. Sunday near the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Orange Drive. Admission for the grandstand seats is $40 for adults, $35 for children 12 and under. Will-call tickets are available by phone through Friday by calling (866) 727-2331. Tickets also may be purchased with cash only this weekend at kiosks located at the corners of Hollywood Boulevard and Orange Drive and Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue.

Also happening this weekend:

Holiday Light Festival: featuring a mile-long stretch of lighted displays with various seasonal messages. Can be enjoyed from your vehicle or during a casual walk. On view 5 to 10 p.m. today through through Dec. 26. Griffith Park, along Crystal Springs Drive in the southeast portion of Griffith Park, Los Angeles. Admission is free. Reindeer Romp: Santa's reindeer fly into the L.A. Zoo. Kids of all ages can get close to the reindeer, talk to zookeepers and make their own antlers antlers

 and holiday crafts. Santa and his elves will be available for photos and guests can ride the L.A. Zoo Choo train. Open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through Jan. 1. St. Andrews Day Festival: featuring the ancient ceremony of the ``Kirkin' of the Tartans,'' bagpiping, Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts performing a color guard with the flags of Scotland, the United Kingdom, the cross of St. Andrew, Canada and the United States The United States and Canada share a unique legal relationship. U.S. law looks northward with a mixture of optimism and cooperation, viewing Canada as an integral part of U.S. economic and environmental policy. . Also features a feast of salmon, turnips, potatoes and short bread. Bring your tartan to be blessed.
