Party with the Orange Line

A grand celebration of the opening of the Metro Orange Line is scheduled Saturday to celebrate the completion of the bus line in the San Fernando Valley San Fernando Valley

Valley, southern California, U.S. Northwest of central Los Angeles, the valley is bounded by the San Gabriel, Santa Susana, and Santa Monica mountains and the Simi Hills.
. Patrons can take free rides throughout the weekend from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. to midnight Sunday.

Community event celebrations will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the park-and-ride lots of five stations: North Hollywood, Van Nuys, Balboa, Pierce College In 2006 the Library won a national Excellence award. Academics
Pierce College offers associate's degrees, mainly in the arts and sciences. There are also certificate programs in early childhood education, social services, dental hygienist, and others.
 and Warner Center. Admission is free.

Each station will offer it's own unique booths and entertainment: live jazz, blues and rock music at the North Hollywood station; the Harvest Festival at Pierce College; and a Halloween costume parade and KOST-103.5 live remote broadcast at Warner Center.

The North Hollywood station is at 5350 Lankershim Blvd.; Van Nuys station, 6062 Van Nuys Blvd.; Balboa station, 6340 Balboa Blvd., Encino; Pierce College station at the campus on the corner of DeSoto Avenue and Victory Boulevard, Woodland Hills; and the Warner Center station at the Westfield Mall parking lot on the corner of Erwin Street and Owensmouth Avenue, Woodland Hills.
