WEB SITE OFFERS INFORMATION ON HURDLES OF DIVORCE.

Byline: Stacy Brown Daily News Staff Writer

A Valencia Lawyer has helped developed an Internet site that he said will help educate couples on the intricacies of divorce.

Jim Reape, who has handled divorce and separation cases for more than 10 years, said he came across the idea about two years ago.

``It was a great idea because it allowed people who may have a crisis to get quick answers,'' Reape said.

Divorce-related questions are answered online by two area law firms This list of the world's largest law firms by revenue is taken from The Lawyer and The American Lawyer and is ordered by 2006 revenue:[1]

Steven L. Fuchs, a co-founder of the site, Divorcenet.com., said the no-charge service may soon be available nationwide to anyone with Internet access See how to access the Internet. .

``Since public resources are scarce, we are providing people a much needed service,'' he said.

``At no cost, people with family law-related questions can chat with a family law specialist and get answers quickly.''

Reape said a lack of information also causes stress.

``I strongly advise my clients to seek support groups, and this is a form of support that is very helpful. The usage on this is great and it allows people to understand all sides of the issues,'' Reape said.

Reape said the most often asked questions on the Internet site regard custodial rights and financial settlements.

``The information that is available is extremely helpful,'' Reape said. ``Those who use the service usually come out more sophisticated about divorce and other laws,'' he said.

Sharyn Sooho of LawTek Media Group, said lawyers are available 24 hours a day on the site to answer various questions.

She said the inquiries the site has received have allowed the lawyers to better understand what effect divorce has on individuals.

``I must tell you that I've done divorce law for 20 years, and since we've gone online, we've been amazed a·maze
