WEATHER CHANNEL TROPICAL STORM DANIELLE ALERT

WEATHER CHANNEL TROPICAL STORM DANIELLE ALERT
ATLANTA, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Tropical Storm Danielle will make

landfall on the southern Virginia coast Friday morning, bringing very heavy rains, high surf, and winds up to 45 MPH, according to meteorologists at The Weather Channel. The storm, which will cause coastal beach erosion in Virginia and North Carolina during high tide, is also likely to cause flooding in low lying coastal and inland areas.
The combination of the slow-moving tropical storm and a high pressure system to the north will cause steady heavy rains and possible flooding this weekend in eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey, said John Hope, the network's tropical storm specialist.
Editors and reporters (only) can call network meteorologists with questions anytime between 8 a.m. Friday and 11 p.m. Sunday at 404-801-2123. Contacts at The Weather Channel Forecast Center are: Matt Crowther, Tony Fulkerson, Ray Lucksinger, Tony Mainolfi, Jim Wilson, and Steve Windham.
