WBZ, BOSTON GLOBE TO SPONSOR BOSTON MAYORAL DEBATE; WBZ-TV, RADIO TO COVER LIVE DEBATE BETWEEN MENINO AND BRETT

 BOSTON, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- WBZ-TV and Radio and The Boston Globe jointly announced today that the two news organizations will sponsor a live, one-hour debate between Boston mayoral candidates Thomas Menino and James Brett on Wednesday evening, Oct. 20.
 The debate, to be held at WBZ studios, will be seen live on WBZ-TV, Channel 4 and simulcast on WBZ Radio AM 1030 between 8-9 p.m.
 Moderating the debate will be WBZ-TV News 4 anchor Jack Williams. Reporters from WBZ and The Boston Globe will ask questions of the candidates.
 The debate, the second Boston mayoral debate sponsored jointly by the Globe and WBZ this year, will focus on campaign issues and ideas.
