Certainly, our game is for the players. But it's the excitement and promise of March that keeps every basketball coach going throughout the season and throughout their lifetime.

As a Texan, we are proud to be hosting the first Women's Final Four ever played in a domed stadium.

If you have never experienced the excitement of a Women's Final Four, you are in for a real treat. It is the climactic cli·mac·tic   also cli·mac·ti·cal

Since 1999, we have shifted our focus to "On Court Programming" featuring many of our most gifted colleagues. While you are attending the clinics, seminars, parties, and other fabulous events at our National Convention, we encourage you to take the time to meet as many of the new faces and new coaches as you can! It offers all of us a tremendous opportunity to unify as a group and fulfill our mission of promoting women's basketball Women's basketball is one of the few games which developed in tandem with men's. It became popular, spreading from the east coast of the United States to the west coast, in large part via women's colleges.  as a profession and as a sport.

In our 21st year of existence, there is much to be proud of. Our association was founded by coaches for coaches and that is something we should never forget as women's basketball continues to grow at an unprecedented pace.

To succeed in our mission, we need coaches from every level of the game and every level of the educational experience. It is up to our veteran coaches to bring their younger peers into the profession to serve as coaches and mentors, for they are the future of both our association and the sport of women's basketball. We want to create a legacy that will enable us to be eternally supportive and productive.

The eyes of Texas are upon you!

Sincerely,
