WAVEMAT INC. REVIEWS ITS STRATEGIC PLAN AT ANNUAL SHAREHOLDERS MEETING

PLYMOUTH, Mich., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Wavemat Inc. (WVMT) reviewed its strategic plan at the Annual Meeting of Shareholders held on July 1, 1993. Dr. Richard J. Dexter, Wavemat's president and chief operating officer, said, "In 1992 Wavemat was chosen by Norton Diamond Film Division, a world leader in chemical vapor deposition of commercial grade diamond film, as the supplier of choice for production systems for diamond thin film coating technology. Subsequent to year end, Wavemat received orders for production systems to be delivered to Norton's new pilot manufacturing plant in Massachusetts. The facility represents the first phase of Norton's expansion into commercial-scale diamond film manufacturing. With these orders, Wavemat completed the design transaction from research and development to production systems for diamond film applications. Our proprietary tuning approach for optimizing the application of microwave energy for heating materials and plasma production is ideal for processing many advanced materials now under development, and we intend to leverage that position in 1993."
Elected as directors of the company were: Monis Schuster, chairman and chief executive officer, Wavemat Inc.; Dr. Richard J. Dexter, president and chief operating officer, Wavemat Inc.; Eugene I. Schuster, chairman and chief executive officer of Venture Funding, Ltd.; Mary J. Lore, vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer, Wavemat Inc.,; Leonard Toboroff, executive vice president and director, Riddell Sport, Inc.; Thomas J. Colyer, manager, Norton Diamond Film Division St. Gobain/Norton Industrial Ceramics Corporation.
Wavemat Inc. designs, manufactures and markets proprietary microwave equipment for processing of advanced materials. Products range from standard modules for process research and development, to products for production integration and turnkey development systems incorporating Wavemat's patented technology.
