WATER OVER THE DAM; LITTLEROCK HITS SPILLOVER STAGE.

Byline: Daily News

For the first time since the height of Littlerock Dam was raised 12 feet three years ago, water is running over the spillway spillway,
n a channel or passageway through which food escapes from the occlusal surfaces of the teeth during mastication. The occlusal, developmental, and supplemental grooves, as well as the incisal, occlusal, labial, buccal, and lingual embrasures,

, flowing down Littlerock Wash and across Palmdale Boulevard eight miles away.

``It's actually pretty impressive,'' said Dennis LaMoreaux, general manager of the Palmdale Water District.

Built in 1922, the dam was modified during a two-year, $13.5 million face lift that increased the reservoir's storage capacity from about 1,700 acre-feet to about 3,500 acre-feet - about 1.1 billion gallons, enough for 3,500 Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. Before the spillway was raised, water flowed over the top of the dam almost annually, water officials said. Even with the increased capacity of the reservoir, last year's heavy rains brought the water level within inches of spilling over the top.

This year, the reservoir's water was raised by the heavy storms that blew into Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  over the past two weeks. Between Jan. 30 and Feb. 10, the water level rose more than 23 feet. It rose another six feet in the next five days.

The wet winter makes it more likely that the Palmdale Water District will be able to draw its maximum allotment A portion, share, or division. The proportionate distribution of shares of stock in a corporation. The partition and distribution of land.
