The Wall Street Journal published an opinion article on its Dec. 4 editorial page by William D. Novelli, the CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of AARP AARP, a nonprofit, nonpartisan national organization dedicated to "enriching the experience of aging"; membership is open to people age 50 or older. Founded in 1958 by Ethel Percy Andrus as American Association of Retired Persons, AARP now has over 30 million , who angered Democrats when his 35-million-member organization endorsed the recently passed Medicare prescription-drug bill. He said his organization backed the legislation "for one reason only - it will provide important prescription-drug coverage and financial relief for millions of current and future Medicare beneficiaries."

He called the accusation A formal criminal charge against a person alleged to have committed an offense punishable by law, which is presented before a court or a magistrate having jurisdiction to inquire into the alleged crime.  the organization's leadership was out of touch with its members false. AARP's surveys showed its members "were tired of waiting for Congress to fix this problem, keep its promise and craft the perfect bill," he said.

The most promising aspect of the new bill, he wrote, "is that it adds new preventive services the duty performed by the armed police in guarding the coast against smuggling.
